We all assumed this was coming a while back when eBay bought Kurant Corporation back in January.Impact of Kurant Acquisition

If you want to run a web store with no more than 10 items, it's not a bad setup.
It gets a little costly(debateable) beyond that point though.
You don't have to be an eBay seller but sellers get a 30% discount.

Ref: Payaah.com forced terminate due to Visa/Mastercard restrictions.
Due to the recent restrictions imposed by Visa/Mastercard association on processing of Internet credit card transactions by third party billing companies, we have been informed by our acquirer BB&T Bank of Virginia to stop customer transactions effective immediately.
We have pursued all possible alternative processing options for our Vendors and to keep Payaah services, but unfortunately the Visa/Mastercard restrictions apply to all Merchant Banks in the United States.
All Vendors currently distributing their products and services through Payaah.com will no longer be able to process transactions and we are forced to give notice that effective February 10 2005, your Payaah Vendor Agreement will be terminated.
This unfortunate decision was made due to circumstances beyond our control.

Please note that all funds and reserves will be released on time and at our usual schedule.

Refund Requests and Mental Health
While forum surfing today, I ran across a thread discussing the perils of refund requests.I've had a few refund requests that really fired me up.
However I've learned that You have to face the fact that Some refunds are totally unavoidable.
Every time you get a refund request, just think about the comment below.
It offers a certain level of refund request comfort.

From A Forum Thread About An Angry Refund Request;

a) Try to identify them before we do work for them
b) Refund them instantly so they will go away as fast as possible.
We went to a convention for tax preparer firms one time and the speaker asked people what percentage of "crazies" came in and the answer was always the same - 2 - 3 % over many years of doing business.
On a positive note, in 10 years of doing business we have only encountered 10 of them. Its really sad to see a person that is so confused and so messed up, but you just can't reason with them or work anything out with them."

I'm posting this in an attempt to give people a better mental outlook after getting a refund request.
A good general rule of thumb is to issue the refund and Move On!
Don't let something eat at you that could in all likelihood be completely out of your control.

This is a nice promotion idea...I like the idea of sending a coupon with an order shipment to anyone that purchased from you using Paypal. You can think of a lot of great ways to use coupons.
