eBay Improves Digital Goods Policy For Sellers

"You can now list your digital items in our auction-style, auction-with-Buy It Now, and Fixed Price formats. And while payment still needs to be by either credit card or balance transfer through PayPal, you no longer need to use Immediate Payment (where the item doesn’t close until the payment has been processed)."

Flipping Your New Xbox 360 On eBay?

The freshly delivered game consoles are Out Of Stock.
The shelves and websites are void of the new Xbox 360's.
Empty nationwide...

They're all on eBay!
The eBay Buyers Union (aka sellers) bought up the supply.

Quote from the following Yahoo News article:
"Microsoft has conceded that an ambitious plan to launch the console worldwide within a few weeks — rather than staggering releases over months and months, as is typical — will mean fewer consoles initially in North America."

Great (needed) eBay Feedback System Changes

From The eBay Announcements Board:

Neutralizing feedback left by members who don't participate in issue resolution processes. We believe that members unwilling to participate in processes designed to help resolve issues, such as the Unpaid Item process or the Item Not Received process, shouldn't be able to impact another member's reputation. After this change is implemented, if a member leaves feedback for a transaction and does not participate in these processes, eBay will neutralize their feedback. This means the rating (whether positive or negative) will not affect the recipient's feedback score. While the feedback comment itself will remain, it will include an administrative note from eBay indicating that the feedback doesn't count towards the member's total score.

Removing feedback from users who are indefinitely suspended within 90 days of registration. We believe that members who are indefinitely suspended within 90 days of registering on eBay were never truly members of the Community, and so their feedback comments and ratings should not count. We will automatically remove feedback (positive, neutral, and negative) left by such users.

Requiring new members to complete a tutorial before leaving neutral or negative feedback. This change will require all new users (members with a feedback score of less than 10) to complete a short tutorial before leaving neutral or negative feedback. We hope that the tutorial will educate new members about the feedback system as well as ensure that they are aware of the various communication tools available to them prior to leaving feedback for their trading partner.

eBay Launches ProStores Web Store Builder

We all assumed this was coming a while back when eBay bought Kurant Corporation back in January.
Impact of Kurant Acquisition

ProStores from eBay:
If you want to run a web store with no more than 10 items, it's not a bad setup.
It gets a little costly(debateable) beyond that point though.

You don't have to be an eBay seller but sellers get a 30% discount.

Site Finds Misspelled Keyword Deals on eBay FREE

Wow!
It's amazing how many main keywords are spelled wrong in product titles at eBay.
You can find bargains because most people are obviously searching using the proper spelling.
So, less eyeballs are seeing the misspelled listings and you can snag a deal!

I'm sure a lot of sellers list on purpose this way, just to pull in a sale from someone searching with a misspelled search keyword.
But a lot of them are genuine screwups that mean savings for you.

Here's how to use the site below:
Use the dropdown box to select which eBay site you want to search. (ebay.com, ebay.co.uk, ebay.com.au, QXL.com, ebid.co.uk)
Just enter a keyword that applies to a product you want (spelled properly).
It even works with multiple keywords.
The screen will refresh and you'll see a link just below the same box you entered the keyword in.
Click that link and it will open to the eBay site of your choice in a new window.
You just completed an eBay search using a ton of misspellings for your keyword(s).
Good luck and Enjoy the savings!
